I am working on developing a new variant on the game of Scrabble, I remember seeing a Scrabble variant called Equable some years ago.
Texas Hold-Em Scrabble
I would guess based on how often I see it being played after hours at competitive events that about a thousand games or so of Volost get played each year. I'm not an expert on the topic of Scrabble variants I've never even watched a tournament but am going to add some info from Google. The user who did the edit User: The big difference is that there are three face-up tiles beside the board. Normally, each player subtracts the value of their remaining letters from their score, when the first player runs out of tiles and can draw no more from the bag.
That's a glitch that's been around for a while. It seems to happen when the person in 2nd place leaves the game before the system has finished registering the win. There's no estimate on when Pogo might get it fixed.
You could ask the players before the game starts to please stay until the win is registered but there is no guarantee they will listen to your request.
This has happened several times. I will win the game, there will be no jackpot spin, and the box with all the stats does not come up. It simply asks me if I want to play again. I asked in the game area.
One person said that not all games are rated. Others said all games are rated, but it's a Pogo trick so I don't get credit for my stats. I am very confused. Why did this happen, and do I still get my tokens? If it's a known Pogo trick, is another user doing this, and what do I do to protect myself? It's hard enough for me to win, let along get cheated. You would need someone to join you as you cannot play the bots.
Why, after so much time and money, are so many still dying. I pushed her down, and she responded by spreading her legs, and using two fingers, she opened her pussy for me to invade.
"Come here, Jake", asked Benny. He grabbed them and pulled the bra away. I'm sorry!", she said. All the time, rubbing it against Jake's face and genitals.
Allowing separate headings for each category anyone has ever used would set a dangerous precedent. I feel that using standard equipment is more important than who came up with the variant.
I also added in a number of well known variants which were sorely lacking. I made up the Scrabble Towers rules listed on the page having never played Upwords. I'm not an expert on the topic of Scrabble variants I've never even watched a tournament but am going to add some info from Google. BTW, do you have any idea how most others deal with the can't-overlap-allletters-in-aletter-word issue?
Do they just do like Upwords and require 1 common letter only? I don't often play variants so far removed from the original game as the strategy changes so much. I mostly stick to regular Scrabble and clabbers. English-language Scrabble can be played in duplicate but this is hardly ever done. I put it in there, feel free to edit.
I was introduced to and love playing Duplicate in English with http: If i recall correctly it features a smalller board and some suggested words already printed on the board. It has somewhat different distributions to the tiles in the standard Scrabble game. Basically a cross between scrabble and othello I suppose. I'll be doing a hunt over the next while to determine if I can find sources for some of these variants. Any help would be appreciated. If I can't find things, I may be removing sections from the article.
Andy Saund e rs Duplicate Scrabble however is played by tens of thousands of people, although very very rarely in English. I have heard of a few duplicate tournaments organised by ABSP members mind you. This page is clearly out of control. Wikipedia is no place to list all house versions that a few people occasionally play, or that tournament players have discussed in passing, or that someone has invented but never really gotten to catch on.
You may recall one where the magician can guess exactly which card you are holding in your hand. It would be really handy when playing Texas Hold'em if we could all do just that. The fact is, without any type of special powers or tricks, you can frequently determine what cards are in the other players' hands!
The single biggest tell in online poker is betting patterns. If you learn this and combine that knowledge with what type of player you are playing against, most of the mystery will be removed about what cards they hold.
Solving the Puzzle You have to be able to put puzzle pieces together to solve a puzzle; it is the same when you want to know what is in the cards held by other players. You have to know what type of player a person is and what betting pattern they normally exhibit so that you can begin to apply betting patterns to give you an edge.
The best means of solving the puzzle is to sit back, relax, and watch carefully the first few hands - perhaps 10 hands or so - and take notice of the showdowns. If a player doesn't show down, watch the way he or she prefers to bet and try to predict the hand. You'll get pretty good at reading him or her about which hands they like to play and how they play each. There are numerous betting patterns you may see, but the basics include: This player will raise before the flop.
He or she bets on the flop and checks on the turn. This player calls pre-flop, then checks and calls the bet placed by an opponent. This player usually raises on the turn. Most players with two high cards, but no pair, like the Ace-King, will bet on the flop even if they have nothing at all.
